Sustainability

Our love for nature and responsibility to care for the environment is at the forefront with the choices we make in sourcing our ingredients (refer to ‘Ingredients’ listing) and with our carefully considered packaging. All our formulations are contained in recyclable glass jars and bottles, made from Miron biophotonic glass. The unique ability of the deep violet coloured glass to protect and revitalise the precious ingredients within is quite extraordinary. Not to mention, these vessels are beautiful to behold.

The calico canvas bags we use are made from unbleached 100% Eco-friendly natural cotton. They are biodegradable, recyclable and reusable. All our cards are printed by an eco-printing company that use recycled paper stock and non-toxic sustainable inks. For mailing we use ‘Hex Wrap’ as an alternative to bubble wrap. This is 100% recyclable and compostable, and has an interlocking structure enabling packages to be securely wrapped without the need of using tape. The mailing boxes we use are constructed using 99.9% recycled paper and are recyclable and compostable.

At ml. BOTANICS we work with nature as closely as possible. Every ingredient we use is 100% natural, carefully chosen for its potency and efficacy remaining mindful of ethical sourcing and sustainability. We choose premium quality ingredients, some of which are wild-harvested or come from organic or biodynamic farms, locally sourced - wherever possible, depending on ideal growing conditions for each plant. Every ingredient is listed for each product, either on the labels, if space allows, otherwise on an ingredient card. Please refer to our website for the most up to date listing.

Each product goes through vigorous testing - but please note we never test on animals. Our careful consideration in sourcing ingredients ensures our suppliers share the same values as we do at ml. BOTANICS.

Most of our products are vegan, with the exception of our Botanical Foot Balm which contains Lanolin (from the wool of sheep after shearing) and several balms and salves which are formulated with sustainably sourced beeswax and honey from bee-friendly Warre hives located in the Blue Mountain regions of NSW, Australia.
