All of our products are hand made by us in small batches here in Melbourne, Victoria.

At ml. BOTANICS we work with nature as closely as possible. Every ingredient we use is 100% natural and chosen above all, for its potency and efficacy to make beautiful, effective products with a focus on ethical sourcing and sustainability. We choose premium quality ingredients, some of which are wild harvested or come from organic or biodynamic farms, locally sourced - wherever possible, depending on ideal growing conditions for each plant. Please refer to the ingredients pages on website for classification of each product.

Yes. Every ingredient is listed for each product, either on the labels, if space allows, otherwise on an ingredient card. Our most up to date listing will always be found on our website.

No. Every ingredient we use is of natural origin and carefully chosen for its unique benefits to nourish the mind, body and soul.

The fragrance in our products varies from being very subtle to quite distinctive and comes purely from nature, mostly from essential oils and also from other botanical ingredients. However, we never use synthetic fragrances and follow strict guidelines to ensure the safe use of every ingredient in all our formulations. The principals of Aromatherapy are an integral part of our foundation so every one of the essential oils we have chosen has been carefully selected not only for its beautiful scent, but also for its therapeutic benefits.

Yes. We never test our products on animals and never will. Our careful consideration in sourcing ingredients ensures our suppliers share the same values as we do at ml. BOTANICS.

Most of our products are vegan, with the exception of our Botanical Foot Balm which contains Lanolin (from the wool of sheep after shearing) and several balms and salves which are formulated with sustainably sourced beeswax and honey from bee-friendly Warre hives located in the Blue Mountain regions of NSW, Australia.

The shelf life of our products depend very much on how they are stored. To make the most of the quality and potency of each ingredient we recommend using our formulas within 4-6 months of opening, however our products can still be used effectively for longer if kept in the right conditions: Stored below 25degreesC away from moisture and sunlight.
Balms, oils and salves:
If products are stored in the right conditions - best used within18months unopened from date of manufacture. Once opened best used within 12 months from date of manufacture.
Room mists:
If products are stored in the right conditions - best used within 18 months from date of manufacture.
Face creams:
If products are stored in the right conditions - best used within 12months unopened from date of manufacture. Once opened best used within 4-6 months from date of manufacture.

We recommend storing your products out of direct sunlight, in a dry, cool and dark place below 25 degrees, especially the Balms as they will melt (like butter) in very warm weather. Keep refrigerated during hot weather and always ensure the lids are firmly in place to avoid moisture coming in contact with the product.
It is possible the balms could melt during transit in hot weather. If this happens, it will not damage the product, but please be careful before opening.

It is possible the balms could melt during transit in hot weather. For this reason please be careful before opening. If your balm does melt, use a sterile implement to stir thoroughly before placing in your fridge until cool. Please note varying temperatures can sometimes cause the texture to become grainy - this will not compromise the quality of the ingredients. This is due to the rich content of shea butter which contains molecules with varying melting points that separate when melted and solidify at different temperatures. The granules are the molecules which cooled and solidified faster than the rest which occurs when the formula cools too slowly. If this happens you can melt the granules in the palm of your hand using your fingertips before application. Otherwise if you prefer the original buttery texture, the balm can usually be fixed by melting it again very gently on low heat over a double boiler then cooled quickly in the fridge or freezer.

Although many of our products have been formulated to exclude allergens, there is always a possibility that someone may be sensitive or (delete ‘or worse’) have a reaction (itchiness, bumps or blisters, swelling or inflamed skin after application) to an ingredient which isn’t normally known to cause irritation - even products containing all natural ingredients can cause skin reactions in certain individuals. Please refer to our product description pages which highlight potential contraindications with certain ingredients for each product.

It is usually recommend to avoid using essential oils during the first trimester of pregnancy.
During this time our Botanical Face and Body oil is safe and gentle enough to use daily on the face as well as the body. For those who have become very sensitive to scent please be aware our beautiful herbal infused oil does have a natural fragrance which is herbaceous, flowery and earthy.
After the first trimester certain essential oils are particularly beneficial during pregnancy when used safely, however there are many which should be avoided. Our Nourish Body oil is an ideal choice for use during and after pregnancy to help reduce the appearance of stretch-marks, improve skin elasticity and gently nourish the body, mind and spirit. Also our Ambrosia Honey Balm and Everlasting face cream are great choices, each with a delicate and uplifting scent and gentle enough to use during pregnancy after the first trimester. They provide nourishment for all skin types and are particularly replenishing to dry or damaged skin.
**Please note: Although we use an extremely low percentage of essential oil in our Antioxidant Facial oil, it does contain Jasmine essential oil which should be avoided up until the last stages of the third trimester of pregnancy. If you have any concerns we recommend you seek advice from your medical specialist.

Variations in colour, texture and scent are to be expected and celebrated with each batch when working with ingredients that have grown in nature and exposed to different conditions. Please rest assured this does not impact the quality of your product, but rather works as a reminder of the connection it has to nature.

Yes. Our Everlasting Face Cream and collection of Room Mists contain hydrosols and floral water, so it is essential we use preservatives to prevent microbial growth to keep you and your loved ones safe. The preservative system we use is natural and approved by major organic skincare certification bodies, and considered gentle on the skin, safe and effective. Please refer to our ingredient description pages for further details.

Yes. Our Everlasting Face Cream contains a safe and natural emulsifier using a blend of ingredients derived from olive oil, wheat and oat proteins. An emulsifier is used to make an emulsion (eg. cream, lotion, etc) which enables oil ingredients to be blended with water ingredients without separating. Our collection of Room Mists contain a natural solubiliser (similar actions to an emulsifier) derived from corn combined with a fatty (capric) alcohol, found naturally in coconut and palm oils. A solubiliser helps disperse the essential oils with the floral waters otherwise the oils would simply float on the surface. Please refer to our ingredient description pages for further details.

Yes, tracking is available on all orders.

We will accept returns on full priced items within 14 days after receiving. To be eligible for a return, all items must be in the same condition that you received it: unused and in its original packaging. You will need the receipt or proof of purchase. Unfortunately we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
*Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
Certain types of items cannot be accepted for return if used, unless faulty, due to health and safety regulations. This includes body and skincare products. Exchanges and returns will not be offered in the case of general dissatisfaction. Extensive information is provided for all the formulas listed on our product pages for the purpose of making an informed decision about whether each product is the right choice for you prior to purchasing.
In the unlikely event you receive an item that is faulty, damaged or received in error, please send a detailed email with a photograph of your order to hello@mlbotanics.com.au within 14 days and we will evaluate the issue and make it right.
If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label when the return is due to faulty, damaged or incorrect items received. In the case of having a change of mind, postage costs will be applicable.

Yes. In the case of having a change of mind a full refund will be accepted if your package has not already been shipped. If your package has been dispatched, postage costs will be applicable. Your refund will be processed once we have received the returned package, which must be in the same condition that you received it: unused and in its original packaging. Items purchased during sale promotions and gift cards are not eligible for return.

Your order will be shipped within 2-3 business days after purchase (excluding weekends and holidays). If for any reason we have to delay posting your order, we will contact you and give you the option of receiving a refund. All orders are sent by Express Post and are usually delivered within a 1-5 day timeframe after dispatch.
