Caprylyl / Capryl Glucoside

A natural ingredient used as a solubiliser (an agent which enables oil to mix in water) and a surfactant. It is produced by the reaction of the glucose from corn combined with the fatty (capric) alcohol, found naturally in coconut and palm oils. We use it in our room mists to allow the essential oils to mix with the floral waters. Without a solubiliser the essential oils would float on the surface.
